Chontelle Roberts - Decontamination Consultant at Aura Infection Control Ltd

Chontelle has over 13 years’ experience in the dental industry – nursing and being infection control lead for the last 10 years.

Chontelle achieved her NVQ level 3 in dental nursing as well as many other additional qualifications during her time in practice. Chontelle joined Aura in December 2023 as a Decontamination Consultant supporting practices with dental unit waterlines, decontamination and validation.

Aims and Objectives

• To understand how to validate dental equipment and decontamination processes using Residual Protein Tests according to UK legislation.
• Define key terms and describe purpose of validation in the dental context.
• Identify processes that can be validated with Residual Protein tests and those that cannot.
• Describe the method of Residual Protein testing and key aspects for accurate testing.
• Demonstrate compliance by completing records and audits.

Members and Non-members are invited to attend. Once registered for the event, a registration confirmation will be sent via email. The sessions will be hosted via Microsoft Teams. An Invitation Teams Link to access a session will be emailed a day before the event.

Non-members can attend the event at no charge; however, an administration fee of £3.50 will be required to obtain a CPD certificate, applicable only to non-members.
