Health Education Questionnaire

The Advancing Dental Care (ADC) project has been established by Health Education England (HEE) to review the roles, composition, skills and training needs of the whole dental team, and identify change where necessary. This project will enquire how to meet future patient needs and provide greater workforce flexibility both for the NHS service and for individuals. To deliver this vision a range of innovative ideas will be explored.

One of the workstreams which has been identified is to review the Scope of Practice as well as explore wider health care skill sets, such as taking blood pressure, height weight checks, blood glucose monitoring and consider how they can best support the delivery of future dental care.

They would be most grateful if, you could spare ten minutes to share your ideas on this important aspect of the review by completing this survey.   The survey is anonymous. Results of the survey will be used to inform a set of proposals on the dental workforce which will then go out for national consultation, so your input can really make a difference.    Please view the animation before you complete the questionnaire; it is 4 minutes long.  Please click on the link below for the animation; the survey link is at the bottom of this email.

Health Education England hope you will appreciate that the dental contract is a separate issue and comments about it are not relevant for this particular exercise, although clearly is a factor that underpins any changes in the delivery of NHS primary dental care. When completing the questionnaire, you are asked to bear in mind the contribution of the whole team and indeed the wider healthcare workforce to delivering dental care.

Thank you for taking the time to complete. Please use the link below to access the questionnaire.
