The first Community Dental Services/Health Education England Study Day, chaired by Sue Gregory OBE, will link some of the key speakers to oral cancer in preparation for November’s Mouth Cancer Action Month. Presentations include “Oral Cancer – Detection, Treatment and Outcomes”, “HPV and Oral Sex”, “Mouth Care Matters”, “Could You Be a Dementia Friend?” and “Key Resources and Updates in Nutrition Guidance to Integrate Within Practice”.

The afternoon will be split into mini presentations where Oral Health Promotion Teams from across England will share the findings of their projects: “Fluoride Varnish in Bedfordshire”, “Tooth Brushing Programme in Lincolnshire”, “Brushing Buddies”, “Better Oral Health for Adults with Learning Disabilities” and “Insight Report for Leicestershire”.
The fee of £50 includes a cold buffet lunch and the opportunity to network with other delegates and browse the trade stands during breaks and lunchtime; the Study Day offers 2 hours 45 minutes of verifiable CPD.
