Claim your long-term BADN Membership badge

BADN are going to be offering special badges to dental nurses who have been Association members for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years. Due to having thousands and thousands of members, we are having to do this in stages, starting with those dental nurses who joined BADN in 2013, 2008, 2003, 1998 and 1993 (or before). Length of membership is calculated from the year of joining and takes into account any breaks in membership.

If you joined BADN (or ABDSA!) in or before 1993, in 1998, or in 2003 you should be receiving an email from Val in the next week or so telling you how to claim your badge. If you don’t receive such an email by Friday 7 September, email val@badn.org.uk with your name, BADN membership number and phone no – putting “Long service badge – query” in the email’s subject line.

If you joined BADN in 2008 or 2013 – to claim your badge, email Val val@badn.org.uk with your name, BADN membership number and phone no, putting “Long service badge – 5” or “Long service badge – 10” in the email’s subject line. Val will check your eligibility and send you further instructions.

You MUST be a current member to claim a badge – if your membership is due for renewal between August and November 2018, confirm in your email that you will be renewing.

If you are attending the National Dental Nursing Conference in November, state this in your email and President Hazel Coey will present your badge during the Closing Ceremony.

Other badges will be sent out after Conference in November, but – so we know how many badges to order – you must contact Val before the end of business day on Friday 28 September 2018.
